Elgar is a software engineer by day and a game designer in his spare time. He studied Computer Science at the University of Otago and has spent the past several years honing his programming skills - through employment as a programmer as well as working on various side projects. He enjoys the process of creating meaningful applications.
A passion for playing games turned into a desire to create games when he took a game design paper at university. Since then the dabbling has been increasing. It started in the digital space, which included writing up a tutorial on building the core of an RTS which can be found at http://www.stormtek.geek.nz/rts_tutorial. In early 2016 the focus then shifted to physical board games. His focus, no matter what medium is being used, is to create games that are interesting and engaging.
